Who we are
GameJobsRemote (“we”, “us”) operates gamejobsremote.com, a job board listing remote roles in the video game industry. This page explains what data we collect and why.
What we collect
Newsletter subscribers. If you sign up for our job digest we store the email address you provide, plus the date and IP address of your subscription, so we can prove consent and send the emails you asked for. We use MailPoet, which stores this data on our own web server.
Contact form. If you message us we receive your name, email address, subject and message so we can reply. These are stored in our website database and emailed to us.
Employers posting jobs. If you submit a job listing we collect the account email, company details and listing content you enter. Published listings are public.
Server and cookies. Our host records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. We use essential cookies to keep the site working, and a cookie banner to record your consent choices.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not require an account to browse or apply for jobs — applications go directly to the hiring studio on their own website, and we do not receive or store your application, CV or portfolio.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept while the enquiry is relevant. Job listings expire automatically and may be removed at any time.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below, and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Third parties
Job listings link to external studio websites and applicant tracking systems. Once you follow one of those links you are subject to that company’s privacy policy, not ours.
